The Inspiration for this Website
In 2012 my husband and I created a special Williams Family Christmas greeting based on a painting done by my grandmother, Emma Rickert. The interest and reaction to this card inspired me to seek out and try to obtain copies of other paintings she had done. The paintings displayed here is the result of that search. I am sure there are others out there, hanging on walls of other Rickert cousins and their children.
My paternal grandparents, Peter and Emma Rickert, were the parents of 17 children. Those children were raised on a farm in Hilltown, Pennsylvania in the heart of Bucks County, about 30 miles north of Philadelphia. In the 1960's the farm house and land were sold and Emma Rickert went to live with one of her daughters, Frannie Kaufman. It was during that time that I remember seeing Emma's paintings.
